2008 NBA Playoffs - Day Seven - April 25
Here at About.com, we'll be following each day of the 2008 NBA Playoffs - nothing too in-depth with these posts, but a bit of a recap that gives a couple of brief sentences or so, the final results, as well as links to the boxscore.

Detroit Pistons 75, Philadelphia 76ers 95 @ Philadelphia / Box Score
Forget about what the official NBA slogan says about the Association - "Where Amazing Happens" - because when it comes to this series, it's more like "Where Upsets Happen." Somehow, the Sixers pulled another win their way and now have the advantage in their matchup with the Pistons, a team I chose to win it all. Yeah, I was one of two writers that chose them and boy are we gonna look stupid if this string of upsets continue. Oh well, you win some, you lose some... the Pistons want to make sure the latter never happens again. Sixers lead series 2-1.
New Orleans Hornets 87, Dallas Mavericks 97 @ Dallas / Box Score
You had to think that the Mavericks had too much pride and playoff experience to let the Hornets take three straight games from them, but whether or not they can continue to defend at least their homecourt will remain to obviously been seen. Dirk Nowitzki had a monster night, leading the Mavs in points (32), rebounds (19), assists (6), and blocks (2). Conversely, Chris Paul had a bad shooting night (4-for-18), which surely helped in the Hornets losing. The series stays in Dallas for Game Four. Hornets lead series 2-1.
San Antonio Spurs 115, Phoenix Suns 99 @ Phoenix / Box Score
The Suns better do something quick because they are on the brink of being eliminated from the postseason and having that trade for Shaquille O'Neal to go all for naught. However, as much as they thought the trade would help them down low against the likes of Tim Duncan, it's been the Spurs guards that have wrecked havoc as Tony Parker scored 41 points and Manu Ginobili contributing 20 off the bench. In any case, it's looking bad for the Suns who will need to do the almost impossible and run off four straight W's. Spurs lead series 3-0.
