2008 NBA Playoffs - Day Fifteen - May 3
Here at About.com, we'll be following each day of the 2008 NBA Playoffs - nothing too in-depth with these posts, but a bit of a recap that gives a couple of brief sentences or so, the final results, as well as links to the boxscore.

San Antonio Spurs 82, New Orleans Hornets 101 @ New Orleans / Box Score
The triple threat of Chris Paul, David West, and Tyson Chandler saw them face the defending NBA champions and basically manhandled them. West led the way with 30 points, CP3 had his usual double-double with 17 points and 13 dimes, and Chandler was the primary defender that had Tim Duncan having nightmares while awake, on the court! Duncan played a lit bit more than three quarters time and only shot 1-for-9, finishing with five points and only three rebounds. Obviously this lack of production went a long way for the Spurs' loss as Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili were able to still contribute in their usual way. However, let's not take anything away from the Hornets. They looked great on the court and will be a formidable foe for last year's champs. Hornets lead series 1-0.
Orlando Magic 72, Detroit Pistons 91 @ Detroit / Box Score
It looks like the Pistons aren't going to let anything slip this time around. After losing their first game in the series against the Philadelphia 76ers, the Pistons looked strong against the Magic. They even limited Dwight Howard to only 12 points and eight rebounds, whereas in the previous series for Howard against the Toronto Raptors, he had three games of 20-20s! The Pistons look focused in every facet of the game. Pistons lead series 1-0.
