2008 NBA Playoffs - Day Thirty-Three - May 22
Here at About.com, we'll be following each day of the 2008 NBA Playoffs - nothing too in-depth with these posts, but a bit of a recap that gives a couple of brief sentences or so, the final results, as well as links to the boxscore.

Eastern Conference Final - Game Two
Detroit Pistons 103, Boston Celtics 97 @ Boston / Box Score
Well, it finally happened - the Celtics lost at home during the postseason - and considering their road woes, maybe that's all it takes for the boys from Beantown to exit stage right from the NBA playoffs. However, that's thinking pessimistically, so let's get positive - the Pistons are in a great position to move on to the NBA Finals. Okay, maybe that's not so positive for you Celtics fans...
In all seriousness, the Celtics had the best record in the NBA for a reason and losing one game at home isn't the end of the world... it was only Game Two, not Game Seven. However, if the Pistons' Chauncey Billups is back and healthy as he looked last night and rookie Rodney Stuckey gives them that instant Vinny "The Microwave" Johnson-type offense, it's going to be very difficult for the Celtics to move on.
The Celtics Big Three of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen all scored 20+ points, but other than Rajon Rondo and his 10 points, no other Celtic scored more than 4 points. Meanwhile, the Pistons had six players in double figures, no lower than 13 points with Richard Hamilton leading the way with 25 points. The series now shifts over to Detroit. Series tied 1-1.
