2008 NBA Playoffs - Day Thirty-Four - May 23
Here at About.com, we'll be following each day of the 2008 NBA Playoffs - nothing too in-depth with these posts, but a bit of a recap that gives a couple of brief sentences or so, the final results, as well as links to the boxscore.

Western Conference Final - Game Two
San Antonio Spurs 71, Los Angeles Lakers 101 @ Los Angeles / Box Score
Game Two was a lot different for the Lakers as they didn't need to come back from a 20-point deficit for the win. Instead, they ended the second quarter with nine unanswered points and started the third quarter on a 14-2 run, which the Spurs couldn't recover from. The Spurs' Big Three of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili combined to shoot just 14-for-37 from the field.
On the other hand, the Lakers main three of Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, and Lamar Odom hit 21 of 36 shot attempts from the field and Jordan Farmar provided 14 points off the bench. Altogether, the Lakers shot 54.9% from the field while the Spurs shot themselves out of the game... I mean, 34.5% from the floor. The series moves to San Antonio where the Spurs hope they can regain that championship magic. Lakers lead series 2-0.
