The list of achievements for David Robinson is a long one, especially when it comes to Olympic competition. In 1988, upon his graduation from the United States Naval Academy in Maryland, Robinson was selected to represent Team USA as a member of the eventual bronze medal-winning team in Seoul, South Korea. It was the last time the United States would field a team without the help of professional basketball players.

By the time the United States Olympic Committee had agreed to let professional basketball players play on the team in 1992, Robinson was well into an impressive 14-year NBA career. It was here, on the Dream Team where the Admiral won his first of two gold medals, the second of which would come four years later in the 1996 Atlanta games.

In his pro career Robinson would prove to be an MVP, Hall of Fame candidate, one of the NBA's 50 Greatest Players, and most importantly, a two-time NBA champion.
