The 2008 Olympic Basketball tournament starts August 10th concluding August 24th when the gold medal game will be played, a game Team USA has to play in and win to end an eight-year gold medal drought. Team USA needs to erase the memory of a sixth place finish at the 2002 World Championships, and bronze medals at the 2004 Olympics and 2006 World Championships. What happened to the dominance? The world is catching up, but Team USA needs to show that they are still tops in the hoops game. It's time for the Redeem Team to take home the gold!
