*25. Utah
Jazz - Daequan Cook, Ohio State University, SG, 6'6"
Team Needs: Derek Fisher is getting older and drafting Cook, allowing him to sit back and learn this season, will work for both the Jazz and Cook's growth as a player. He'd provide a great boost off the bench and I wouldn't be surprised if he plays significant minutes and make an impact the likes of Paul Milsap this past season.
*26. Houston Rockets - Sean Williams, Boston College, C, 6'10"
Team Needs: What the Rockets need is someone that can help them get Tracy McGrady over the 1st Round hump during the playoffs. Recently Bonzi Wells decided not to become a free agent and will get to prove his worth in the upcoming season. Wells is very talented, but has a history of offcourt issues, much like Sean Williams, who is simply an amazing shot blocker that could instantly back up center Yao Ming or eventually get his starts at the power forward position. He'll need to stay out of trouble, however, if he's going to make a consistent impact.
*27. Detroit Pistons - Nick Fazekas, PF/C, Nevada
Team Needs: Fazekas has been an up and down prospect the past couple of seasons, floating between the end of the first round and early second. Well, I'm sure Fazekas will be happy to know I'm placing him in the premiere round. The Pistons are getting old upfront and an injection of some youngblood should only help, especially considering the offensive skills Fazekas has.
28. San
Antonio Spurs - Alando Tucker, University
of Wisconsin, SF, 6'5"
Team Needs: The Spurs won't need too much since the core of Duncan, Ginobili and Tony Parker will remain in tact. However, taking Tucker could be a good insurance policy should Michael Finley bolt. Tucker is a hard-nosed player and can hit the perimeter shot, which is what Finley was signed for. Obviously, with Tucker you get a much younger player.
29. Phoenix
Suns - Taurean Green, University of Florida, PG, 6'1"
Team Needs: A possible backup for Steve Nash to give him more rest on the bench. Leandro Barbosa does a great job of filling in for both Nash and Raja Bell, but adding the depth of a dedicated Nash backup might be a smart. Plus, the player can be groomed to eventually take over the two-time MVP's spot. Green, the two-time NCAA champ while with the Florida Gators understands execution and should have fun learning from Nash, as well as feeding the ball to Marion and Stoudemire for easy dunks.
*30. Philadelphia
76ers - Marc Gasol, Akasvayu Girona (Spain), C, 7'1"
Team Needs: Well, the Sixers took combo players in Thornton and Byars, so next up, a big man. What Samuel Dalembert does on the defensive end of things with blocking ability, Gasol can do on the offensive end - a very solid player that doesn't do anything to a spectacular degree, but is very steady and has very good court vision.
