The 2008 NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest takes place on Saturday, February 16th at New Orleans Arena in New Orleans, LA. The following players will be competing for title of NBA Slam Dunk Champion:
- Gerald Green - Minnesota Timberwolves; 2007 NBA Champion
- Rudy Gay - Memphis Grizzlies
- Dwight Howard - Orlando Magic
- Jamario Moon - Toronto Raptors
Green looks to defend his title and repeat as the king of dunking, which hasn't been done since Jason Richardson did it in 2002 and 2003. The only other repeat champion was Michael Jordan when he did it in 1987 and 1988. Don't believe me? Check out the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest History!
