What better way to highlight the young talent of the NBA than to have a game between rookies and players in their second season in the League? And to have it part of NBA All-Star weekend is only appropriate since many players who have played in the Rookie Challenge game went on to become All-Stars themselves. Players such as Gilbert Arenas, Dwyane Wade, and Dwight Howard amongst others have shown their skills in this game before heading to the main stage of the All-Star game.
For the most part, the sophomores have pushed around the freshmen during this Rookie Challenge, proving the event title appropos. However, no matter what the result, getting the chance to see the NBA's future stars, the fans win out.
