Adam Morrison was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was in the eighth grade, but it did not stop him from becoming a star player in high school. He was not heavily recruited with Gonzaga being the only Division I school to pursue him. At Gonzaga, he was named to the conference All-Freshman first team and was an honorable mention All-American as a sophomore. In 2005-06, he was the nation's leading scorer and led Gonzaga into the NCAA Tournament where they lost to UCLA in the "Sweet Sixteen." Morrison's mustache has become somewhat of a pop culture phenomenon and is his signature look.
